Join the Puʻuwaʻawaʻa crew for ʻOhana day at kīpuka ʻōwe'ōwe!
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Hauʻāina check-in station and end by 12 p.m.
9:00 Meet at Hiker-Check In Station.
9:15 Work orientation and Hana!!! Head to kīpuka ʻōwe'ōwe.
12:00 Optional Potluck Lunch.
If you would like to participate, please bring a dish to share for our family-style potluck. Plates, silverware, etc. will be provided.
*Feel free to stick around as we share moʻolelo!! There is also an Interpretive Trail that you can check out and learn more interesting facts about our native species.
2:00 pm Pau hana (potentially earlier), a hui hou kākou!
WHAT
We will be spending time out-planting native species, and hand-weeding invasive species in Hauʻāina enclosure. If time permits, we will continue trail building.
**Terrain is uneven with over grown vegetation. Weather can be hot and sunny or cold and rainy. The last bathroom stop will be at the hiker check-in**
Work is EXHILARATING and REWARDING!!!
