Please join our community talk story on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Kahuku Ranch Cabins to learn more about the resource stewardship plan and discuss specific stewardship ideas for Kaunāmano, Kaʻū. Kaunāmano is the 1,363-acre property below (makai) of Naʻalehu Police Station between Pohina Pali and the Maniania Pali, including Paʻula, also known as Leipana. At this talk story event plan to:
Share background information on the process and schedule for the Stewardship Plan
Gather community manaʻo on the cultural and natural resources to preserve and protect Kaunāmano
Provide a space for community members to share areas of potential concerns relating to the resources as well as opportunities for future stewardship
This will be an open house talk story, so feel free to join us anytime between 10:00 am and noon. Light pupus and refreshments will be provided. For those not able to attend, we will follow-up with information on opportunities for you to learn more about the stewardship plan and share your manaʻo. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@nohopapa.com.
